Sydney Hotels Terms and Conditions | Marco Polo Sydney
Please review the following Sydney Hotels Terms & Conditions for Marco Polo Sydney Hotel. These apply to all bookings and stays at our property. By booking with us, the guest(s) or visitor(s) agrees to abide by these terms.
- PAYMENT
The full payment and an incidental deposit of $50 cash or $50 pre-authorization on the credit card will be required upon check-in. To secure the room, photo ID and credit card details will also be required. If the stay is terminated early, the full agreed price will be paid. In case of reservation with prepayment, no refunds will be made for this reason. Additionally, there will no refunds granted after check-in.
- CHECK IN and CHECK OUT
Rooms requiring check-in prior to 14:00 will incur surcharge of $35 for the first 2 hours early, with an additional $35 for the next 2 hours. For check-ins more than 4 hours early, a full-day rate will apply. Failure to check-out before 12:00 will be subject to a one-night accommodation fee.
The guest must return the key to the reception or key drop box if departing outside reception hours immediately upon check-out. Failure to return the keys will result in the replacement cost $20 being charged to the guest.
- HOTEL BEHAVIOUR CONDUCT
The guest(s) or visitor(s) agrees and undertakes to use their room responsibly. Therefore, any conduct contrary to accepted standards of behaviour and public order will result in the hotelier asking the customer to leave the hotel with no compensation and/or refund if a payment has already been made.
Prohibited acts includes, but not limited to:
- Wear inappropriate clothing. Hoodies are acceptable as long as your face remains visible.
- Disruptive or aggressive behaviour.
- Possessing weapons of any kind
- Using tobacco, alcohol, drugs or controlled substances, conduct.
- Solicitation
- Animals except for registered companion dogs.
- Loitering, or visitor trespassing
- Photograph or video recordings of any kind for commercial use. Video is acceptable for non-commercial and non-disruptive purposes.
- Use of transmitters, radar, lasers, beacons, cellular triangulation, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, magnetic or barometric technologies, or geographic information systems of any kind to capture geographic location or spatial data for commercial use is prohibited.
- Distributing or posting any handbill, circular, notice or ad
- Using a loudspeaker or other amplified sounds, noise, lights or other activities that violate local ordinances or otherwise disrupt adjacent neighbourhoods and businesses
- Using profane language, fighting, gambling or disorderly
- Littering or leaving refuse elsewhere than in the receptacles or rummaging in and removing items from refuse receptacles.
- Charging admissions, selling any product (including, but not limited to, food or drink) or soliciting donations without permits.
- Defacing or removing any property
- Using barbeques, open flames or fireworks
- Playing or practicing golf or operating remote controlled models. Failure to abide by these rules and regulations may result in eviction, or revocation of entry/use privileges.
- SMOKING or Tamper with Smoke Detectors
Guests and visitors are strictly prohibited from smoking inside the room. Any guest or visitor found smoking in the room will incur a $500 fee, along with potential loss of room income and additional administrative charges, which will be charged to their security credit card on file.
This policy also extends to the excessive use of powders, sprays, or aerosol products inside the bathroom.
Guests or visitors are not permitted to tamper with smoke detectors or any other safety equipment.
By staying at Marco Polo Sydney, guests and visitors agree to the hotel charging their security credit card for any fees related to odours or smoking violations.
- CLEANLINESS
- CANCELLATION
* Non-Peak: Cancellations or changes to bookings for this room must be made at least 72 hours prior to check-in date and time or you will be charged the full amount of booking. Failure to arrive at your hotel will be treated as no show and no refund will be given.
* Peak or Special Events: Cancellations or changes to bookings for this room must be made at least 7 days prior to check-in date and time or you will be charged the full amount of booking.
- VISITORS
Our property is closed to visitor(s) after 8 pm. All visitor(s) must enter and register at the front office. Visitor(s) stays are limited to 1 hour; any stay beyond this will incur a charge of $40 per day, payable by the guest(s) or visitor(s).
- PARKING – Secure undercover parking
Parking is complimentary for the first vehicle per booking. For a second vehicle, parking is subject to availability and will incur a charge of $30 per night.
- DEBIT/CREDIT CARD POLICY
By using your Debit Card, the hotel will request funds from your account for the full amount of your stay, including 1.5% charge of total. These funds will not be accessible to you for up to 7-10 days after your departure and may affect your account balance. Please note that “Pending Charges” and “Authorizations” do not have the same effect on your account as a credit card “hold”. Although the hotel releases the remaining funds upon checkout, your bank may take 7-10 business days to release these funds. Once funds are released by Marco Polo Sydney Motor Inn, we will not be responsible for the amount of time it takes your banking institution to return funds or any fees that may be associated with funds being held. The cardholder agrees to authorize the hotel to charge any applicable fees to their credit card upon check-out.
- LIABILITY
The property shall not be liable for any loss of any kind whatsoever suffered by the operator arising from any breach of this agreement by the property or from any negligence, misrepresentation or other act or omission on the part of the property, whether in contract or tort, in respect of all claims, shall not in the aggregate exceed the cost of the accommodation. Photographs displayed on the Website and Mobile Services are not contractual. Although every effort is made to ensure that photographs, graphic images and text used to illustrate hotels provide as accurate an impression as possible of the accommodation offered, variations may occur, in particular as a result of changes to furniture or possible renovations. Moreover, Marco Polo Sydney Motor Inn shall not be held responsible for the non-fulfilment or inadequate fulfilment of the reservation in cases of force majeure, actions of third parties, and actions of customers.
- RELEASES AND INDEMNITY
- Personal property (valuables, goods, vehicles, etc.) brought to the hotel remains the guest’s responsibility. We are not liable for loss or damage.
- You agree to release and indemnify the hotel for any expenses or damages arising from your stay.
You agree that regardless of your length of stay there is no tenancy or other proprietary rights created under any laws.
We grant you a licence to stay in and/or use the facilities in our hotel and we reserve the right to terminate the licence at any time.
